James Solomon, Cho Dan (1st Degree)
I began training in 2008 at the age of 51. I had been looking for a way to lose weight (I weighed over 300 lbs.) and my friend Billy (William MacBrohn) invited me to a “Buddy Week” event at TTSDSA. During the next 4 ½ years I worked hard and received 3 consecutive Student of the Year awards from 2009 through 2011, I also received Region 4 Student of the Year in 2011. In July of 2012, I was promoted to Cho Dan. I have attended regional championships and served as Timekeeper/Scorekeeper at the World Championships in 2012.
I am a professional Computer Programmer/Analyst and have worked for West Business Services since 1994. I also enjoy Bowling and have dabbled in multimedia projects.
